Maya Aflakpi — On-Air Talent (Appointed August 21, 2025) Based in Los Angeles, Maya Aflakpi serves as a dynamic anchor and correspondent for AIR-A’s news, original shows, and films. A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in journalism, Aflakpi has previously worked as a sports broadcaster for Gopher Digital Productions and as a reporter for Gopher Hole, providing in-depth coverage of basketball, hockey, and more. A lifelong athlete with a passion for storytelling, she combines performance and precision to deliver thoughtful and engaging content that resonates with viewers.
Taylor Burke — On-Air Talent (Appointed September 8, 2025) Taylor Burke, based in Sparks, Nevada, joins AIR-A as an on-air anchor and journalist, known for her compelling coverage and leadership in broadcast journalism. She currently anchors and reports for KOLO 8 News Now and has previously held positions with KTUU Channel2 in Anchorage, Alaska, and KKCO-NBC in Western Colorado. Burke has been nominated twice for Reno’s Best Anchor and recognized by the Colorado Broadcasters Association as Best General Assignment Reporter. She is also the author of The Goods Are Odd, showcasing her storytelling talent across various mediums.
Shniece Archer — Multimedia Journalist (Appointed October 21, 2025) Based in the New York metropolitan area, Shniece Archer joins AIR-A as a multimedia journalist covering news, culture, and community stories. A seasoned reporter with experience at News 12and WTXL ABC 27 News, Archer excels at producing, writing, and editing her own content. She holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Hartford. Known for her empathy and depth, she brings a modern, human-centered approach to journalism that aligns with AIR-A’s evolving storytelling mission.
